Gospel artist Xolani Donga from Bulawayo dropped his fourth album on his birthday after switching careers from international trade to full-time ministry following some intense spiritual experiences. The guy studied economics in China's Zhejiang province before claiming angels started feeding him song lyrics through dreams, and he eventually gave up fighting it.
His latest project has 15 worship tracks with one sung entirely in Mandarin as a nod to his academic background, plus production help from Dalu Moyo and backing vocals from a crew that included Nombali Cele and Primrose. Donga says he literally wakes up at night to record melodies that celestial beings deliver to him instead of writing based on regular life stuff like most musicians do.
