Muduvuri Pan African Referral Hospital in Kadoma will begin surgeries and other life saving procedures after acquiring modern theatre equipment and an X ray machine. Opened in April 2023 by President Mnangagwa, the 1540 bed facility first offered free care to war veterans, war collaborators, and people with disabilities, and it has since extended assistance to needy patients, with about 300 treated each day. The hospital owner Jimaya Muduvuri sourced scanning, suction, and anesthetic machines and an X ray kit from China and added a diesel generator to manage power outages. Community members, faith leaders, and disability representatives endorsed the upgrade, and staff reported stronger capacity to save lives, while war veterans welcomed continued free care for those who served. Management stated that the hospital operates around the clock, receives patients from multiple provinces, and expects advanced cancer treatment equipment before year end.
