The head of Kano State's Hisbah Board just sounded the alarm that Nigerians cannot even feel secure inside their own houses anymore. Sheikh Aminu Daurawa went on an emotional rant in a video after hearing about the murder of Fatima and her six kids in the Dorayi Chiranchi neighborhood of Kano.
The Islamic cleric said the tragedy hit him hard and kept him up all night. He woke up still crushed by sadness, pain, and stress after his Hisbah officials sent him details and photos from the crime scene that he described as beyond disturbing.
Daurawa painted the nightmare scenario of coming home from the office, school, farm, or wherever, and finding your wife and children butchered by terrorists, with some bodies dumped down a well. He called the brutality worse than anything he had ever encountered and said even Pharaoh only killed men, not women.
The Sheikh claimed such evil did not exist even during the age of ignorance, when violence was common. He had never read about terrorism this extreme anywhere in history, where someone wiped out a mother and all her children together.
