Police discovered three hungry boys wearing tattered clothes at a garden community near Kirovsk in the Leningrad region. The children, ages 7, 9, and 11, had been living in a bathhouse for more than two weeks after their mother kicked them out of the summer home. They resorted to begging for food from neighbors. Officers learned the boys weren't attending school.
Authorities took the children to a local hospital. They're currently searching for the 41-year-old mother from the Primorsky District. Investigators found the property belonged to the deceased father of the younger children. The family had been living there since November 2024 with the mother's partner until she forced the boys out and stopped feeding them.
Officials are considering criminal charges against the mother. Records show she has previous convictions for drug possession and registration fraud. This case follows another recent incident where three young boys were found living with their father in a cold basement in St. Petersburg.
