Crutch attack, no jail for house feud granny

A Bulawayo woman in her sixties dodged jail after whacking her cousin with a crutch during an argument about property. Karen Lusinga got four months suspended for three years after admitting to the assault at her Emganwini place, and the sentence only sticks if she stays clean.

The whole thing kicked off when her 62-year-old cousin Zenzile Ndlela showed up asking questions about an Entumbane house that might have belonged to their mom. Lusinga apparently lost it and hit Ndlela twice on the arms, leaving bruises that needed a doctor visit. Police picked her up after Ndlela filed a report, and the magistrate let her walk with the suspended sentence hanging over her head.
