Divine intervention fails Satuma, loses $20k in Madokero

A burglar stole twenty thousand US dollars from Patience Satuma's residence while the thirty-nine-year-old attended religious services in Madokero. The victim discovered the theft upon returning home at two o'clock Sunday afternoon. The perpetrator had entered her bedroom and removed cash stored inside a jacket within her wardrobe. Harare provincial police confirmed the incident through Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, who detailed the investigation process. Officers have recovered no stolen property from the crime scene.

Chakanza warned residents against storing substantial cash amounts at their homes and workplaces. The police spokesperson recommended that citizens deposit money with established financial institutions instead of keeping funds at their residences. He promoted the use of electronic payment methods as safer alternatives to cash storage. Authorities continue investigating the unlawful entry and theft case. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges facing homeowners who maintain significant cash reserves on their properties.
