Eagles roast Buccaneers as Mayfield faceplants

Philadelphia defeated Tampa Bay 31-23, delivering the Buccaneers their first loss this season. The Eagles established early control by blocking a punt for a touchdown. Philadelphia added another score to build a 14-0 advantage. Tampa Bay managed a field goal before halftime, trailing 24-6.

Baker Mayfield threw two long touchdown passes during the third quarter. He connected with Emeka Egbuka for a 77-yard score. Mayfield then completed a 72-yard touchdown strike. The Eagles maintained a 31-19 lead entering the final quarter.

Tampa Bay narrowed the deficit to 31-23 with a field goal. The defense forced a punt to give the offense another chance. Mayfield's end zone interception ended their comeback hopes. The Buccaneers will face Seattle next week.
