Egypt’s MSME boss Basel Rahmy swaps business secrets with Korea’s Kim

Egypt's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency established fresh collaborative pathways with South Korea to enhance business support and entrepreneurial growth. Basel Rahmy, the agency's chief executive, conducted strategic discussions with Seoul's Cairo ambassador Kim Jong Hyun regarding potential partnerships spanning finance, business training, and technical knowledge exchange. Senior officials from both organizations participated in these bilateral conversations. The proposed partnership emphasizes adopting successful Korean business models, particularly those addressing innovation development, skills enhancement, and informal economy integration. This cooperative framework supports Egypt's 2030 national development agenda and global sustainability objectives.

The diplomatic engagement stressed building robust economic connections between both nations to promote entrepreneurial advancement and lasting financial progress. Ambassador Kim extended an invitation for MSME participation in the Korea-Egypt Economic Cooperation Conference on September 30. The Egyptian agency reciprocated by inviting the ambassador to attend the Heritage handicraft exhibition scheduled for October 4. These reciprocal invitations demonstrate mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relationships. Both parties view this partnership as advancing small business development through international collaboration and knowledge sharing.
