EVA ditches France-only focus for new Euro league system

VR esports just got a major competitive overhaul in Europe. EVA is ditching its old national leagues for a unified continental system. The new structure features a permanent eight-team Pro League with no relegation, guaranteeing partner stability. A sixteen-team Challenger League split into two conferences will serve as a proving ground below it.

The season culminates in a cross-league championship called the EVA Summit. Top Pro League teams qualify directly for the playoffs. Challenger League squads and grassroots qualifiers from local circuits will also battle for spots. A parallel competition titled EVA Versus will award prizes based on interleague performance.

Executive Yassine Jaada called this the definitive pinnacle of their ecosystem, labeling it the Champions League of virtual reality. The Pro League offers a fifty-thousand-euro prize pool. The Challenger League has twenty-five thousand euros on the line, while the Summit shares thirty thousand euros across its stages.

Local leagues from France, Germany, and several other countries will now feed into this pan-European model. The standalone French Cup is retired due to a packed calendar after the expansion. This shift aims to elevate play, attract new organizations, and create a more cohesive competitive scene for VR esports.
