How the tournament format actually works

• Group stage kicks off with four pools of eight teams, all running best-of-one matches.
• The top four from each group punch through to a single-elimination playoff bracket.
• Quarter-finals and semi-finals are best-of-three, and the grand final stretches to a best-of-five.

Qualification pathways and the ranking system

• Top 16 nations snag direct invites based on a newly built VALORANT National Team Rankings system.
• VCT points get pooled from regional and international competitions and are split equally among teammates.
• Only the top five players on a submitted roster contribute points toward their country's total, with a June 21, 2026, cutoff.
• Fourteen more spots open up through double-elimination online qualifiers across eight regions from June 26 to June 28, and two wildcard slots round out the field.
