Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye asked President Museveni for help. He wants MP Naume Kibaju to stop being the leader for Sheema North.
Dr. Tumwesigye wrote a letter to the President on January 27, 2025. He said MP Kibaju became less popular after her husband died. He also said she does not do her job well.
The former minister thinks MP Kibaju might cause problems for their political party. He believes other parties could win if she stays as the leader.
"Many people from our party asked me to run for parliament again," Dr. Tumwesigye said in his letter. "They want me because MP Kibaju lost their support."
He asked the President to talk to MP Kibaju about leaving her job. He worries she will block the success of their party if she stays.
Dr. Tumwesigye lost his last election in 2021. He was beaten by Dicksons Kateshumbwa when they both ran for office.
