Falcon College near Bulawayo built a massive solar power plant to escape Zimbabwe's electricity problems. The private school installed one megawatt of solar panels across campus with help from Cicada Solar company. Students can study without worrying about power cuts that plague the rest of the country. The solar system powers dormitories, classrooms, computer labs and sports fields completely. School officials decided diesel generators cost too much money to keep running every day.
