Focusrite turns 40, Scarlett 2i2 glows up in ISA blue

Focusrite marks four decades of audio equipment manufacturing with the launch of a special Scarlett 2i2 Anniversary Edition interface. The company selected a distinctive blue aluminum finish that pays homage to the original ISA range modules designed by Rupert Neve for Sir George Martin. Visual enhancements feature the historic double-f logo and decorative chassis artwork based on ISA 110 and Studio Console schematics.

The limited production model retains identical functionality to the standard Scarlett 2i2 while adding premium software from Sonnox, Acustica, and Softube. Each unit arrives packaged in an exclusive black and gold presentation box. Founder Phil Dudderidge explains the blue color celebrates Focusrite's original brand identity before the company adopted its signature red aesthetic. The Anniversary Edition sells for 219 pounds with value-added tax.
