Al-Azaar High School did it again. The private school in Garissa Township beat public schools in the area. It was the fourth year in a row.
The school also had a top student. His name is Mohamed Abdirizack Osman. He got an A- grade with 75 points, one of the best scores in the region.
Mohamed was very happy. He said he worked hard. His teachers, parents, and classmates helped him.
Mohamed wants to study medicine. It has been his dream since he was a kid, and he thinks he will get the chance to do it.
"I am close to my dream," he said. "But I know the real work is just starting."
Sumeya Ali also goes to Al-Azaar. The 17-year-old was the top girl in the area. She got a B+ grade.
Sumeya hopes her success will inspire other girls. She wants them to see they can do well if they try.
Sumeya plans to study engineering in college. Not many girls in her community choose that field. But she is sure she will succeed. Her dad will support her all the way.
"I want to lead the way," said Sumeya. "With my parents' help, I know I can do it."
Sumeya's proud father had advice for other parents.
"Support your kids' schooling," he said. "Let them pick their courses. It's the best gift you can give."
Ahmedamin Abdirahman Sheikh also did well. He got a B+. Ahmedamin wants to work in healthcare.
"I've seen people suffering," he said. "I want to help make that better."
Lunai Godfrey teaches at Al-Azaar. He said the school keeps getting better at exams each year.
"We work hard," said Godfrey. "The results show that. We are so proud of our students. They stayed focused. The school gives them a great place to learn."
