Gambia senior secondary school graduates 700 at 66th prize giving

Gambia Senior Secondary School celebrated another milestone as more than 700 students walked across the stage during their 66th graduation ceremony. The event took place at Gambia High School grounds where families gathered to watch their children receive diplomas. Principal Momodou Baba Jallow spoke proudly about the school's continued success and reputation across the country. He credited the achievement to their commitment toward delivering excellent education through carefully planned strategies. The principal stressed that parents must stay involved with their children's learning journey for better results.

Jallow explained how students perform much better when their families participate actively during school years. These young people earn higher test scores and attend classes more regularly when parents show interest. The principal noted that parental support builds confidence and motivation among students. He emphasized how this involvement creates stronger relationships between students, teachers, and classmates. The Parent-Teacher Association helps maintain these important connections throughout the academic year.

Guest speaker Bai Madi Ceesay delivered powerful words about what true success really means for these graduates. He told them that grades and certificates matter less than how they handle tough times and treat other people. Ceesay warned against chasing money, fame, or status without maintaining strong moral values. He urged the new graduates to stay honest and build meaningful relationships as they enter the adult world. The speaker reminded them that their country needs young people who will return home and create positive change with honor and purpose.
