Ghana and Zimbabwe Plan to Work Together More.

Zimbabwe and Ghana want to work together more. Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Zimbabwe's defense minister, shared the news. She went to Ghana last week. Ghana has a new president, John Mahama.

Last year, Zimbabwe's president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, visited Ghana. He met with Ghanaian leaders and made a deal to bring their countries closer.

They discussed farming, women's issues, and science and math education.

Zimbabwe wrote some agreements, which they gave to Ghana. The two countries will meet this year to discuss the agreements.

Ghana and Zimbabwe have a lot in common. Ghana became free in 1957. Its leader was Kwame Nkrumah. He wanted Africa to be free. He helped other countries.

Ghana also helped Zimbabwe become free. They trained some of Zimbabwe's soldiers, and Zimbabwe is grateful for this. Ghana still helps Zimbabwe. They give Zimbabwe money for school.

Many African leaders went to see Ghana's new president last week. The presidents of Rwanda, Kenya, and Congo were there. The leader of Burkina Faso came too.
