Ghana Holds First National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving in Nkawkaw

Ghana made history with its first National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving at Nkawkaw Grace Presbyterian Church. President John Dramani Mahama started this special event to help the country grow stronger. Church members gathered to pray and think about making Ghana better for everyone. The theme asked people to reset their minds and work harder for the nation. Municipal Chief Executive Tamimu Halidu led the ceremony with many important officials.

Presbyterian Bishop Atto Barfi Himbson told people they need tough skin to handle big changes coming to Ghana. He wants citizens to help turn the country into a place of hope and success. The bishop said everyone must work together to make Ghana shine again. His speech encouraged people to stay strong during difficult times. Religious leaders believe prayer will guide the nation forward.

Halidu talked about cleaning up Nkawkaw streets as an example of resetting the country. He said the cleanup was hard but showed how Ghana can change for the better. The official compared fixing Ghana to renewing a driving license before hitting the road. Citizens need to focus on God and their purpose to make the black star of Africa bright again. Religious tolerance remains important as different faiths work together.

The government plans to bring 24-hour business programs to Nkawkaw starting with railway jobs. Two new health clinics will open before this year ends to help sick people. A bigger hospital is also coming to improve medical care for everyone. Halidu visited the local mosque after church to share the same message with Muslim worshippers.
