Government Struggles to Issue Martyr Certificates After Anti-Fascist Movement

Government official Sharmin Murshid admits her team struggles with paperwork for dead protesters. The Women and Children Affairs Adviser visited families of people killed during last year's anti-fascist protests. She went to Tongi and Gazipur areas without warning anyone first. Murshid told reporters the government finds it hard to handle certificates for all the victims. Many people joined the movement and died fighting against fascism.

The adviser said her government has not helped all the families who lost loved ones. Almost twelve months have passed since the new administration started working. Financial support has not reached every household that suffered losses. Murshid promised the government will keep trying to contact everyone. She wants to make sure no family gets left behind.

Officials face criticism for taking such a long time to help people. Murshid said delays happen but the government refuses to give up on families. She promised that nobody who died will be forgotten. The government plans to honor all the people who gave their lives. Every sacrifice made during the movement will be remembered.

Murshid prayed at the graves of two young women named Marwa and Nafisa. She met with their families and gave them money from the government. Both women died as martyrs during the July protests. The adviser spent time listening to what the families needed. She handed out financial grants to help with their daily expenses.
