Governor Ravi walks out of the house over the anthem protocol row

Governor bolts from assembly again over anthem drama. Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi exited the legislative assembly shortly after its opening. He left following a Tamil invocation instead of the National Anthem. This repeated a walkout from the previous session over the identical issue. Speaker M. Appavu stated the matter was already settled through past correspondence.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin proposed a resolution to record the governor's address as delivered. The assembly unanimously adopted this measure to continue its scheduled business. Speaker Appavu highlighted state welfare initiatives during the session. He cited unprecedented economic growth under the current administration.

The Pongal festival assistance scheme distributed cash and gifts to numerous families across Tamil Nadu. Each package contained three thousand rupees for over two crore households. Governor Ravi arrived before the proceedings and was welcomed by the speaker. The chief minister was also present in the chamber.

Expectations for a gubernatorial address were unmet due to the departure. The event underscores ongoing friction between the governor's office and the state government. This conflict sets a charged tone ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
