Govt Brings Clean Water and Garden Hope to Lower Gweru

Zimbabwe just opened a brand new village business unit in Lower Gweru. This project brings big changes for many families left behind. The unit comes with a solar-powered water well and community garden space. All this fits into national plans to reach upper-middle-income status by 2030.

More than 1,000 families across five local villages can use this clean water source. Many residents felt happy about having water for their animals nearby. Others talked about making money from growing vegetables in the garden plots. Everyone thanked President Mnangagwa for these improvements.

The government promised to keep building similar projects across rural areas. Midlands Minister Owen Ncube said these solar wells show how the country helps communities deal with climate change problems. He added that President Mnangagwa leads efforts to make rural and city areas more equal.

Officials have already built over 100 similar business units throughout the Midlands province. These centers help keep farming going year-round. They start with making sure each family can grow enough food. The government sees these small hubs as key parts of its food security strategy at every level.
