Grenada baits foodies with Lambie and Lobster Fest in Carriacou

The Grenada Tourism Authority announced the inaugural Lambie and Lobster Festival for January 2026 across Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The celebration honors the seafood and fishing traditions that define these Sister Isles communities. Officials designed the festival as part of a broader initiative to integrate both islands into Grenada's national tourism framework. Local stakeholders attended a preview event featuring live string band performances and sample dishes from regional vendors.

Programming begins with welcome ceremonies showcasing traditional music and cuisine prepared by island residents. Visitors experience cooking demonstrations alongside guided boat tours that highlight cultural and natural attractions. The festival extends to Petite Martinique with fishing competitions and community games. Four participating vendors created signature seafood preparations that represent the culinary identity of these maritime communities.
