India's Defence Ministry awarded Hindustan Aeronautics Limited a massive Rs 62,370 crore deal for 97 Light Combat Aircraft Mk1A variants. The agreement covers 68 fighter jets and 29 twin-seat trainers with delivery scheduled from 2027-28 across six years. HAL will achieve over 64 percent domestic content through 105 Indian suppliers while creating 11,750 annual employment opportunities.
