Healy vows Aussie queens will roast Cup foes in Indore

Australia captain Alyssa Healy expressed confidence about her squad's readiness for their World Cup title defense campaign. The tournament begins September 30 with Australia facing New Zealand on October 1 in Indore. The defending champions have claimed seven global titles previously and recently defeated India 2-1 in their preparatory series. Their winter training camps provided valuable team bonding and skill development opportunities. Healy emphasized the squad's thorough preparation both physically and mentally.

The captain praised her personal recovery from foot and knee injuries through competitive match participation. Sophie Molineux returns to international duty after January knee surgery rehabilitation. Five team members will compete in their inaugural 50-over World Cup experience. Australia plans additional matches in Sri Lanka despite not visiting since 2016. Healy noted the balanced combination of veteran leadership and emerging talent within the current roster.
