Highlanders have a shot at a Chibuku Super Cup final in their 100th year, but CAPS United stand between them and the next round. Rufaro Stadium will host the clash, with Bosso keen to get past a team that has beaten them twice in league play this season.
The road here has been far from easy. Bosso had to beat Chicken Inn and MWOS in penalty shootouts just to reach the last four. Those wins kept their cup hopes alive despite a rough run in the domestic league.
Back in 2019, Highlanders beat Ngezi Platinum Stars 1-0 at Barbourfields Stadium to claim this title. The club has been waiting for another major cup win ever since.
And 2026 has brought more than a few headaches. Reports of disputes over player pay have added to an already tough season, leaving the cup as a chance to give fans a reason to cheer.
Coach Benjani Mwaruwari has a real squad issue ahead of the CAPS United match. Six players are hurt, which may limit his picks for the game. Still, he says the rest of the team is keen to play and has put in the work.
As for CAPS United, Mwaruwari knows how hard they can be to beat. Their busy match load does not give him much comfort either, since he rates their squad depth and expects them to be a tough test.
Captain Darlington Mukuli sees the cup as a fitting way to mark a full century of Highlanders football. With the club well off the pace in the league, he believes a trophy would give the fans a much better way to mark the big year.
Elsewhere, Hardrock and FC Hunters will meet at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe for the other last-four clash. Both are after the same prize, a spot in the title match.
For Highlanders, though, the task is clear. They need to get past a side that has had their number all season, while dealing with six injured players and the weight of a big anniversary.
