Holness tips hat to WCK after millions fed post-hurricane

Hurricane Melissa failed to starve Jamaica because nearly seven hundred locals refused to quit. Prime Minister Andrew Holness thanked World Central Kitchen for assisting with roughly six point six million meals over seventy-five days. A massive chunk of that food came straight from Montego Bay kitchens, where Jamaicans cooked for their neighbors. Holness insisted this effort provided dignity alongside calories since nobody complained about the flavor.

The aid group representative claimed they never witnessed such solidarity despite seeing Category 5 disasters elsewhere. They noted that looting remained nonexistent while security stayed stable the entire duration. It seems almost five hundred local residents joined the daily grind to ensure families got fed properly. This cooperation apparently made moving supplies around surprisingly easy compared to other crisis zones.

Holness emphasized that the meals actually tasted authentic, which matters hugely to residents. He believes the secret ingredient was genuine care mixed with the right spices. Providing culturally accurate food seemingly supported emotional needs just as much as physical hunger. This partnership suggests that respecting local traditions works better than just throwing random supplies at a disaster.
