India's Puja art triggers Bangladesh's BNP party

A Bangladesh Nationalist Party official condemned a West Bengal Durga Puja display depicting Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus as a demon during Saturday temple visits in Mymensingh. Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince accused former Awami League members in India of provoking the installation and criticized New Delhi for remaining silent. He said the Nobel laureate works to defeat fascism and build democracy rather than embody evil.

Prince visited multiple Hindu worship sites and promised religious minorities would receive protection and cultural freedom under future BNP governance. Temple visitors greeted him with traditional music as he toured several mandaps and made personal contributions. He attended ceremonies in Dhobaura and Haluaghat with local party leaders.
