Actor Jackie Shroff paid tribute to composer S.D. Burman, on what would have been his 119th birthday by posting a vintage photograph on Instagram. Burman created music for more than 100 films after beginning his Bengali cinema career in 1937 before transitioning to Hindi movies. The Tripura royal family member worked with prominent vocalists such as Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar until falling into a coma while rehearsing for the film Mili and dying in Mumbai on October 31, 1975.
