Jarigbe rejects the governor title, bends knee to Otu

Cross River North Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe dismissed supporters who call him the Governor of the North. The People's Democratic Party lawmaker stated the title misleads residents about his actual role. He emphasized that Cross River State has one constitutional leader, Governor Bassey Otu of the All Progressives Congress. Jarigbe declared his loyalty to Otu and urged constituents to respect the governor's authority.

The senator warned against misrepresenting his office through political excitement. He emphasized that collaboration, rather than competition, delivers democratic benefits to citizens. Jarigbe cautioned people against amplifying disputes for political advantage. The lawmaker promised to defend the interests of constituents at the National Assembly while maintaining proper respect for gubernatorial leadership.
