Jerome Porritt takes helm as RCA Records UK head of A and R

RCA Records UK just secured a major bag by hiring Jerome Porritt to run A&R. This executive answers to bosses Glyn Aikins and Stacey Tang after leaving his gig at Warner Records and Parlophone UK. He steps in to manage creative development and scout fresh talent for a label already stacking wins with heavy hitters like JADE, Myles Smith, and Bring Me The Horizon.

The roster he inherits features domestic stars such as Nectar Woode, Sasha Keable, and Nothing But Thieves alongside massive American exports like SZA, Travis Scott, and Lil Nas X. His previous run involved securing signatures from legends like Chase & Status and Luude while pushing chart-toppers from The Blessed Madonna and Disco Lines.

Glyn Aikins praised the new recruit as an instinctive leader who speaks the language of modern culture. The boss highlighted Porritt's strategic brain and ability to bond with creatives. In response, the appointee expressed hype about joining the squad during this pivotal era, claiming the company looks primed for even bigger achievements soon.

This staffing change follows other executive shuffles within the parent company, Sony Music UK. Azi Eftekhari recently took the Chief Operating Officer throne while Peter Edge grabbed the Sir George Martin Award. Everyone seems to be moving pieces around the board to prepare for the next phase of industry domination.
