Jiiva is glad for the Pongal slot but mourns missing Vijay film

A Tamil star just expressed bittersweet feelings about his own film's festival release. Actor Jiiva confessed sadness over Vijay's postponed project, Jana Nayagan, missing the holiday season. He made these remarks during his own film's trailer launch event. Jiiva stated his team felt destined for their current release date after a schedule change.

He acknowledged that theater owners are now contacting them due to the competing film's absence. The actor emphasized that everyone eagerly awaits Vijay's movie, citing his supportive industry legacy. Jiiva noted many colleagues, including himself, have collaborated with Vijay over the decades. His own film Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil marks his forty-fifth acting project.

Director Nithish Sahadev filmed it across forty-five days in a Western Ghats village. Producer Kannan Ravi backed this story about pre-wedding family tensions. Shooting occurred primarily over forty nights with a cohesive unit feeling like family. Jiiva described a sentimental wrap-up, with local residents offering heartfelt blessings.

He portrays a village Panchayat chief resolving a conflict between two families. The cast includes Thambi Ramaiya, Ilavarasu, and Prathana Nathan, among others. Writers Sanjo Joseph, Nithish Sahadev, and Anuraj OB developed the screenplay. Vishnu Vijay composed the music, with cinematography handled by Bablu Aju.
