Jumia thrives on Nigerian growth, posts 25% revenue rise

Jumia recorded quarterly revenue climbing to $45.6 million while merchandise volumes reached $197.2 million through September, with Nigerian operations accounting for most expansion as gross transaction values surged 43 percent. Chief Executive Temidayo Ojo credited the improvement to warehouse networks serving previously neglected northern and southern territories where conventional retailers have withdrawn amid economic pressures.

The platform balanced metropolitan and provincial customer bases nearly equally through partnerships with neighborhood delivery agents and compact distribution facilities that lowered fulfillment expenses. Categories spanning groceries, apparel, and personal care sustained consistent transaction frequencies despite inflation.
