Kabogo Slams Mt. Kenya Critics Over Ruto Govt

Kabogo Defends Role in Ruto's Cabinet, Urges Mt Kenya Critics to Allow Government to Serve.

RUIRU, Kenya - ICT and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo has criticized leaders from the Mt Kenya region who oppose his role in President William Ruto's administration. He spoke after attending a church service at PCEA Mukuyu Parish in Ruiru on Sunday.

Kabogo insisted that the government exists to serve all Kenyans. He questioned why his critics did not advise him before he accepted the Cabinet position.

"We should allow the government to serve us," Kabogo said. "You cannot tell us not to work with the government. What will we eat?"

The Cabinet Secretary noted that some people seek services from the same administration they criticize. He emphasized that the government serves through people.

Kabogo called on the people of Mt Kenya to plan for the future. He warned that failing to do so would leave them on the sidelines of the political divide.

"I am called to serve the people of Kenya, not just Kiambu," Kabogo said. "Give the government a chance to serve."

He added that politics will resume in 2027, which is still far off. Kabogo urged the people of Mt Kenya to wake up and plan rather than just shouting and running.

"If we don't plan ourselves, we will remain in the noise," he said.

Kabogo's comments come amid criticism from some leaders in the Mt Kenya region who opposed his appointment to Ruto's Cabinet. They argue that he should not have accepted the position.
