Agriculture boss Mutahi Kagwe has fired back at criminals who sneak into youth protests. The cabinet secretary blasted thugs who destroy property during peaceful demonstrations. Kagwe toured Nakuru on Friday and spoke out against the troublemakers. He defended young protesters and said they are not the ones causing chaos. The minister warned that bad people are using protests as cover for their crimes.
Kagwe pointed to the attack on grain storage facilities in Maua as proof of criminal activity. He said real Gen Z protesters would never wreck government buildings or police stations. The minister called the destruction pure terrorism and urged parents not to believe lies about their children. He stressed that organized gangs plan these attacks to hide behind innocent demonstrators. Kagwe said looters who hit supermarkets are not the same people who organize peaceful marches.
The agriculture chief reminded Kenyans that protests are legal under the constitution. He compared Kenya to France where people demonstrate daily without breaking things. Kagwe asked citizens to watch out for criminals and protect public property. He said people must take responsibility to guard what the country has built. The minister warned that Kenya cannot let thugs turn democracy into lawlessness.
