Wetang'ula Demands Legal Action Against Perpetrators of Gen Z Protest Violence

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula demanded punishment for people who caused violence during recent protests. He made these comments at church events across Samburu North and Samburu West areas. Wetang'ula said citizens can peacefully protest and petition government offices. The speaker reminded audiences that police officers are fellow Kenyans with families. He said the woman could be someone's daughter or mother. Wetang'ula urged citizens to value human dignity above political differences.

The speaker asked politicians to focus on policies rather than creating divisions. He said opposition leaders are not enemies but people with different opinions. Wetang'ula reminded everyone that power belongs to voters. He emphasized that leaders should serve with humility and respect. The speaker called for unity during tense political times.

Wetang'ula defended President William Ruto against criticism about slow progress on campaign promises. He pointed to lower fertilizer costs as evidence of government success. The speaker asked citizens to judge the president fairly after more time passes. He urged people to pray for their leaders. Wetang'ula stressed that peace remains essential for development and national progress.
