Authorities have completed arrangements to bring home the remains of Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve from Haiti. The fallen officer's body will reach Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday, September 26. Inspector General Douglas Kanja announced the repatriation through police spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga. Officials have not disclosed funeral service details.
Mutuku served with Kenya's Multinational Security Support mission contingent when tragedy struck on August 31. The fatal crash happened along the Kenscoff-Pétion-Ville road in Pèlerin 9 during vehicle recovery operations. Two MaxxPro vehicles were involved in the accident, which was caused by mechanical problems.
