Kenya Pipeline Company Foundation and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities will formalize a partnership on Thursday to advance disability inclusion and empowerment initiatives. Managing Director Joe Sang and Chief Executive Officer Eva Njoroge will execute the memorandum of understanding at the company headquarters in Industrial Area at noon. The agreement establishes joint programs addressing education, skills training, business development, and job placement for disabled individuals.
The foundation operates the Inuka Scholarship Programme, which has assisted 745 students since 2017 by providing tuition, uniforms, assistive technology, and school supplies to two disabled students from each of Kenya's 47 counties. Sang reported that nearly half of the program participants achieved university admission grades last year. The council functions as a state corporation under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection with authority to safeguard disability rights and ensure comprehensive inclusion in national development.
