Kuwait, Omar Al-Omar get geeky with Google

Kuwait's Central Agency for Information Technology has launched a second digital skills program in collaboration with Google Cloud. The initiative trains government workers in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Minister Omar Al-Omar called the program a major step toward Kuwait's digital transformation goals. The training supports the nation's New Kuwait 2035 development plan.

Government employees receive advanced technical education through this expanded partnership. Al-Omar stressed that human capital investment drives sustainable economic growth. The program builds institutional efficiency while improving public services across Kuwait. Google Cloud Director Shaimaa Al-Tekreeti confirmed the company's commitment to workforce development.

The original program began in October 2023, yielding strong results. This second phase expands practical technology applications for participants. Kuwait positions itself as a regional technology center through these educational efforts. The collaboration represents a long-term strategic alliance between Kuwait and Google Cloud.
