KWS leash rules for Kenya parks on Sept 27

Kenya Wildlife Service announced regulations governing visitor conduct during free park admission on September 27. Officials designed these measures to safeguard animals and their environments while protecting tourists from harm. The agency designated all conservation areas as plastic-free zones where guests must maintain respectful behavior toward resident species. Visitors cannot feed wildlife or create disturbances that disrupt natural behaviors.

Tourists must remain within vehicles except at approved locations and observe the 40-kilometer speed restriction. Off-road travel faces prohibition due to ecological damage concerns while guests maintain 20-meter distances from all animals. The service requires park departure by 6 PM unless overnight arrangements exist. Night expeditions demand advance permission and payment of additional fees through official management channels.
