Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog are remaking the original Tomb Raider. Called Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, the game arrives in 2026 for the series's thirtieth anniversary. It aims to modernize the classic while keeping its core spirit.
Developers explained they rebuilt the combat and exploration systems entirely for contemporary audiences. They kept the iconic puzzles and deadly traps, along with Lara's confident personality. The same version of the character, voiced by Alix Wilton Regan, will appear in this remake and the new game Catalyst.
Catalyst is slated for 2027 and will feature a peak performance Lara Croft in India. The remake serves as a refreshed origin story preceding that new adventure.
