Lenovo demonstrated AeroBlade laptop with AirJet cooling

Lenovo Project AeroBlade ditches fans for solid-state cooling. This 14-inch concept uses four Frore AirJet piezoelectric modules to handle 20W thermal loads without rotating blades, measuring under 10mm thick and weighing below 830g.

Vibrating membranes push air through restrictive channels that would choke traditional blowers. The lack of bottom vents reduces dust intake during lap use, though the design still requires airflow through other openings and isn't fully sealed.

Intel Lunar Lake powers this prototype alongside OLED, Thunderbolt 4, and Wi-Fi 7. Don't expect these exact specs at retail since commercial versions would likely ship with newer silicon if Lenovo greenlights production.

Real-world noise profiles and battery drain need independent testing despite the bearing-free design. Twenty watts suits ultraportable efficiency but falls short of sustained performance laptop power levels, positioning this strictly as a thin-and-light showcase rather than a workstation replacement.
