Kids from St. Theresa and Our Lady of Nativity parishes brought gifts to children at St. Joseph Orphanage in Jirapa. They gave soft drinks, biscuits, and GHC300 cash to help care for 22 children living there. The orphanage takes care of 10 boys and 12 girls, with four sets of twins among them. Sisters Pia, Judith, Sylvia, and Monica led the young visitors during their trip. Father Gregory Dongkore helped gather supplies for the mission.
St. Anne Technical Institute lent a vehicle to carry everyone safely to Jirapa. The children also stopped at Royal Cosy Hills Hotel and Safari, known as Jirapa Dubai, for fun after their good deed. This visit teaches young church members about caring for others less fortunate than themselves. The Missionary Childhood group aims to build kindness among Catholic youth through these activities. They succeeded in bringing happiness to the orphans through their simple acts of generosity.
