Parliament members voted to confirm John Lorionokou and Agatha Wahome as leaders of the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties. The National Assembly committee approved both candidates after reviewing their backgrounds and qualifications. Lorionokou will serve as registrar while Wahome takes the assistant registrar position. They replace Ann Nderitu, who joined the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

The 52-year-old West Pokot resident handled elections in Kisumu, Elgeyo Marakwet and Trans Nzoia. Wahome combines financial expertise with governance skills from her decade at Equity Bank and subsequent IEBC roles. The 48-year-old Nyeri native specialized in audit and data protection duties.
