During his recent visit to Dodowa, former President Mahama expressed his desire to make Ridge Hospital a teaching center. He also shared plans to build Phase Two of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital as part of his healthcare goals. The hospital will partner with the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons to train more specialists, aiming to prevent patients from traveling far for medical care.
Mahama also plans to add more health centers in outer areas like Bortianor, Kpone, and Shai Osudoku. These centers will bring basic health services closer to people who need them. He promised to build homes for staff who work at these health posts. Both new and current health centers will have living spaces for workers. These changes focus on improving healthcare across the Greater Accra Region.
