Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi initiated the Atmanirbhar Bharat, Har Ghar Swadeshi campaign on Monday by inscribing slogans on a wall at Birsa Chowk in Ranchi. Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu attended the event alongside hundreds of BJP workers from throughout the city. Marandi emphasized that adopting indigenous products generates local employment, strengthens domestic industries, and advances Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

Prime Minister Modi previously encouraged citizens to embrace Swadeshi on Gandhi Jayanti through his Mann Ki Baat address on Sept. 28. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reinforced this message on Oct. 5 by urging farmers to purchase only domestic products at a statue unveiling ceremony in Maharashtra's Ahilyanagar district.
