Juliana Kagwa becomes the new leader of Uganda Tourism Board after working for many years marketing different products. She helped bring Heineken beer to Uganda during the early 2000s and became famous for her marketing skills. Kagwa studied food science at Makerere University but found her calling through promoting brands and companies. Her work at Uganda Breweries made her one of the most recognized faces across the country. People remember her from television commercials and business events throughout Uganda.
The tourism expert takes over from Lily Ajarova who left her position during March 2025. Kagwa spent recent years working at Seed Co International as their marketing and sales director for African operations.
