Max Richter Strings captures his signature quintet

Max Richter basically let strangers sample the exact quintet that's been scoring his stuff for decades, and the result is a 145 GB Kontakt library. SRM Sounds built it at Studio Richter Mahr, tracking two violins, a viola, and two cellos to nail that thick low end the composer is known for. Very Blue Notebooks energy, but playable.

Seven articulations cover everything from spiccato to harmonics, and four mic positions give users a close condenser, ribbon, tree, and outrigger signal to blend. NKS support is baked in, and the whole package runs through Kontakt Player 8.10.2 or later. VST3, AU, and AAX formats all ship alongside standalone modes for Windows 10 and macOS 13 machines.

The introductory tag sits at £199, which knocks fifty quid off the regular £249 ask. That deal runs for a limited time, and VAT is already included in the price. Anyone sitting on the fence should probably grab it before the price creeps back up.
