Mbuso Khosa delays the Isandlwana memorial at the last minute

A history buff just bailed on his own tradition at the very last second. Mbuso Khosa delayed the Isandlwana tribute he organizes annually. The show was meant for Constitution Hill in Braamfontein next week, but moved to April 5. He claimed the delay ensures the gathering maintains proper dignity while they fix logistics and guest speakers.

This shift feels strange because the entire point involves matching the Battle of Isandlwana anniversary on January 22. That entertainer usually hosts walks and lectures right when the Zulu warriors famously defeated the British forces back in 1879 under King Cetshwayo.

Khosa uses the platform to teach crowds about war preparations and his ancestor Ntshingwayo kaMahole Khoza, who helped lead the charge alongside Mnyamana kaNgqengelele Buthelezi. He refused to offer extra details when pressed for comments beyond the written announcement released on Wednesday.

The main commemoration continues regardless of this change. King Misuzulu and the Zulu nation will still assemble at Isandlwana Mountain in Nquthu on Thursday to honor those fighters on the actual historical date.
