Md. Abdur Razzaq leads Dhaka peace rally, JMI hospital

JMI Group marked the United Nations World Peace Day celebration through elaborate festivities across Bangladesh's capital city. The pharmaceutical manufacturer has maintained this annual tradition since 2008 as part of its commitment to global peace initiatives. Company founder, Md. Abdur Razzaq launched proceedings by releasing balloons and white doves at the University of Dhaka's Curzon Hall peace monument. Participants marched from the university through Doyel Chattor before concluding at Raju Bhaskarjya intersection. The corporate headquarters hosted a subsequent discussion forum that addressed themes of peace awareness and human equality.

The industrial conglomerate operates 43 subsidiary companies with international partnerships spanning Japan, South Korea, China, Turkey, and Thailand. Approximately 8,500 workers contribute to the organization's pharmaceutical and medical equipment production capabilities. JMI maintains joint ventures with Japan's NIPRO Corporation for manufacturing life-saving medical devices and medications. The company has expanded into hospital management through JMI Specialized Hospital Limited in Dhanmondi and operates Apollo Clinic franchise services throughout Bangladesh.
