Rescue teams recovered the remains of ninth-grade student Mohayeminul Islam from Bhairab River after a sixteen-hour search operation. The victim, known locally as Chhoto Babu, had accompanied three classmates to the waterway for swimming on Thursday afternoon. While his companions entered the water safely, the teenager remained along the riverbank before accidentally slipping into the current.
