A journalist named Blessed Mhlanga will have to stay in jail for two more nights. He works for Alpha Media Holdings. The police think he did something wrong. They say he shared information that might make people want to hurt others or break things.
Mr. Mhlanga went to the police station on Monday. He brought his lawyer, Chris Mhike, with him. The police arrested Mr. Mhlanga because of an interview he did with Blessed Geza, a war veteran who does not like the president of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Mr. Geza talked to Mr. Mhlanga's TV station, HSTv. He said that President Mnangagwa should quit his job right away. The government thinks this is not okay to say on TV.
The government official, Ruvimbo Matyatya, does not want Mr. Mhlanga to be released yet. She thinks he might talk to the people he works with and change their words.
